Orphe doesn’t light up

Is Orphe on?

Push the main button longer to turn on.

Is Orphe’s battery charged?

Charge Orphe using a micro USB cable before use. It will take about 30-60 minutes to fully charge.

Are the SCENE settings correct?

Check SCENE settings in the Orphe application and make sure Brightness is not set to 0.

Cannot connect to smartphone/Mac

Is Bluetooth enabled on your smartphone?

Enable Bluetooth before connecting.

Is pairing mode on?

Push the main button three times to enable pairing mode.

Is Orphe connected to another smartphone?

Cancel the connection with the other smartphone and push the main button three times to enable pairing mode.

Does your smartphone meet the Orphe app’s minimum specifications?

Please check here.

Button is not working

Is Orphe being recharged?

While recharging the battery, Orphe won’t enable sleep mode.

Is Orphe paired with the app?

While Orphe is paired with the app, Orphe’s button is disabled. Please disconnect Orphe first.

The LEDs in your Orphe might be damaged

Please contact our support team, with your name, a description of the problems you are having and attach a photo if possible.

If the above troubleshooting does not solve the issue

Reset

Please try reseting when Orphe does not function correctly. Use a pin with a sharp edge to push the reset button. Orphe will reset and reboot.

Reset to Factory setting

Follow the below steps to initialize and reset Orphe to factory mode.

  1. Turn on Orphe
  2. Press the main button
  3. Hold the main button and push the reset button
  4. Keep holding the main button until Orphe glows white

These steps will initialize Orphe.

For Indiegogo Early Bird Backers

The below bugs have been identified with firmware installed on Orphe’s shipped to early bird backers.
If you are an iOS user, you can update the firmware via the Orphe app for iOS.
For Android users, we are working on the update and it will be available soon.

Bug 1: SCENE cannot be synchronized between Orphe and the Orphe App

Push the Orphe reset button (refer to the manual for the location of the reset button)

Connect to the app and try synchronizing again.

If this does not resolve the issue, follow the below steps to initialize Orphe.

  1. Turn on Orphe
  2. Press the main button
  3. Hold the main button and push the reset button
  4. Keep holding the main button until Orphe glows white

These steps will initialize Orphe.

Bug 2: Orphe doesn’t glow after setting the SCENE

You can restore the data by reconnecting to the app. If you still have the same issue, please avoid using “Twinkle” in COLOR ANIMATION.

Bug 3: Glowing pattern does not change to pairing mode if triggered by toe tapping 3 times

Orphe should switch to pairing mode by toe tapping 3 times. Currently, the glowing pattern does not change to pairing mode if it is triggered by this action. Orphe will switch to pairing mode and you can still detect Orphe in the app and connect, only the glowing pattern will not change.
